The summer season arrived! Kristiina travels across Finland, Estonia, France and the Baltic States for a season filled with festivals, special celebrations and international collaborations. Highlights include performances at the Naantali Music Festival, the Haapsalu Festival and the Festival de La Roque d’Anthéron, as well as concerts celebrating the 100th anniversary of her hometown, Türi. The summer concludes with a Baltic tour alongside the Orchestre Français des Jeunes.

In May 2026, Kristiina Poska conducted the OSPA in Gijón and Oviedo (Asturias, Spain) featuring the Spanish premiere of Elis Hallik's Transience, Kevin Puts's Flute Concerto with soloist Adam Walker, and Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony. This week, Kristiina makes her debut with Sinfonia Varsovia in Warsaw, leading a programme featuring music by Elis Hallik, Saint-Saëns and Mendelssohn together with pianist Lucas Debargue. Kristiina is very much looking forward to this first collaboration and to sharing the stage with these exceptional musicians in Warsaw.

Kristiina looks back at her successful debut with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, a performance that captivated both audience and critics alike. Praised by the press as ‘an assured leader in the orchestra’s richly detailed performance. The listener could enjoy Mendelssohn’s serene lyrical themes, expertly set against moments of agitated intensity.’

Conductor Kristiina returned to the Royal Scottish National Orchestra for three concerts. The programme featured music by Pärt and Tchaikovsky, alongside the The Lives of Birds by Langer. It was an ‘exciting return’ warmly received by the press, praising Poska’s direction and the orchestra’s expressive playing.

This spring, Kristiina Poska embarks on an exciting tour of the United States, appearing with three distinguished orchestras across the country, featuring two highly anticipated debuts alongside a welcome return engagement.

Kristiina Poska reunites with the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra for performances of Mozart’s Requiem and Bach’s Jesu, meine Freude, presented on 2 April 2026 at the Vanemuine Theatre in Tartu and on 3 April 2026 at the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn.

Following her previous appearance with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, in a programme including Sibelius’s Symphony No. 1, Kristiina returns this week for concerts in Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow. The programme features music by Pärt and Tchaikovsky (Symphony no. 4) as well as the world premiere of The Lives of Birds by Elena Langer.

Kristiina Poska recently collaborated with the Essen Philharmonic Orchestra in a series of warmly received concerts, shaping performances of works by Bartók, Glière, and Tchaikovsky with clarity, balanced sound, and a keen sense of expressive and structural focus. Kristiina Poska recently collaborated with the Orchestre Français des Jeunes (OFJ) for a series of concerts in Dijon, Paris and at BOZAR Brussels. The performances were met with an enthusiastic response from audiences and drew positive attention from critics.

Kristiina will make her debut with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in a programme that unites vivid Nordic colour with symphonic depth. The concert opens with Ida Moberg’s radiant Sunrise,, followed by Jean Sibelius’s Violin Concerto in D minor featuring Inmo Yang, and concludes with Johannes Brahms’s monumental Fourth Symphony.

Together with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra Kristiina records Beethoven’s Complete Symphonies. Volume 3 is now available on all streaming platforms, as well as for sale at the orchestra’s website! The third volume presents both the 5th and the 8th symphony.

Kristiina looks back on two successful European tours, officially marking the start of her tenure as chief conductor of the Orchestre Français des Jeunes (OFJ). The OFJ is France’s National Youth Orchestra, which comes together every summer and winter for concerts in some of Europe’s most prestigious concert halls and festivals. Kristiina looks back to a succesful debut with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The program included Pärt’s Cantus in Memoriam Benjamin Britten, the wonderful Callaloo for piano and orchestra by composer Stewart Goodyear and Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony.

Kristiina’s concert tour (Beethoven’s 9th Symphony & his Choral Phantasy) with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir came to a successful end in Estonia. SIRP wrote an enthusiastic review about the concert in the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn, described as one of the absolute highlights of the season.

Diapason praises Kristiina’s concert with the National Orchestra of France which took place on April 10 2025: ‘The Orchestre National de France has found in Kristiina Poska a rare kind of mediator: sober yet spirited, energetic yet flexible, allowing space and freedom for all, while skillfully guiding the ensemble playing that, in the truest sense of the word, defines this ‘concerto.’

At the end of March Kristiina will be touring in Belgium, Holland, France and Estonia together with the Flanders Symphony Orchestra and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. On the programme: Beethoven 9th Symphony and the world premiere of Annelies van Parys’ ‘Fantasie’. Soloists are Ilse Eerens, Annely Peebo, Benjamin Hulett and Andreas Wolf.

Kristiina returns to Stockholm for her debut with Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducting two performances on 12 and 13 March at Berwaldhallen.
